Ape card

The Ape card is a payment method for the purchase of all Arcobaleno tickets. The Ape card can be used as a multi-journey ticket, multi-day pass and multi-class upgrade card and allows you to pay for your ticket without cash or credit card at Arcobaleno ticket machines and on buses equipped with cash machines. Thanks to the top-up bonus, you can save up to 14%.

Minimum charge at ticket machines and on buses: CHF 5.-
Minimum amount to receive added value: CHF 20.
Maximum amount that can be topped up: CHF 500.- (including added value).
First payment and top-up payment in cash and, where possible, with all major debit and credit cards.
The amount topped-up on an Ape card grants no right to purchase another Ape card.
The Ape card cannot be purchased, validated or used as means of payment at SBB or on PostBus buses Graubünden.
The Ape card cannot be used to purchase Arcobaleno travelcards or tickets with destinations outside Ticino and Moesano.
A maximum of two transport tickets can be stored at the same time.
In the event of loss or theft, any form of reimbursement (cash, vouchers, transport tickets, etc.) of the amount remaining on the card and/or of the transport tickets loaded on the Ape card is excluded.
A refund in cash or in vouchers of the amounts loaded on the Ape card is excluded.
