A single ticket entitles you to travel as often as you wish within the selected zones and validity period of your ticket. The individual journeys can be interrupted and continued at any time within the validity period.

The single ticket is ideal for those who only use public transport occasionally and do not require a travelcard.

Single tickets are available for 1st and 2nd class. The period of validity varies according to the number of zones purchased: from 8 zones, the single ticket is valid for the whole of Ticino and the Moesano region.
For transport services where no 1st class is available, the ticket is also valid for 2nd class (without claiming a refund). To use 1st class with a 2nd class ticket, you must hold a class upgrade. Both tickets must be shown at ticket checks.

Multiple-journey ticket
The multiple-journey ticket is suitable for all those who want to make several journeys within the zones purchased. The journeys can be interrupted and continued at any time. This is the right choice for saving money: 6 journeys for the price of 5.
Multiple-journey ticket
- The multiple-journey ticket can be loaded onto the Ape Card (electronic ticket) or purchased in paper format at the sales points and on regional buses routes of PostBus Ticino Region.
- The card must be validate - using the appropriate machines - before the journey. The multiple-journey ticket loaded onto the Ape Card is validated by issuing a special ticket, which must be retained for possible checks.
- The multiple-journey ticket can be used by several people at the same time, by validating one box for each adult.
- The multiple-journey ticket issues at a reduced fare, can also be used by adults by validating two boxes per adult instead of one.
- The multiple-journey ticket is valid for 1 year.
- In the event of a return, the fully or partially unused multiple-journey ticket can be refunded. For further information please refer to the FAQ.

A partire dal prossimo cambio d’orario del 15.12.2024, la Comunità tariffale Arcobaleno (CTA) introdurrà un nuovo piano zone. Il piano delle zone abbonamenti e quello delle zone biglietti saranno infatti unificati, con un vantaggio principale: la semplificazione di comprensione e di acquisto dei titoli di trasporto.
