With a view to facilitating the mobility of young people employed with an apprenticeship contract, the cantonal vocational training fund bears 40% of the travel costs on public transport within the Arcobaleno integrated fare network.
As soon as the apprenticeship contract is signed, apprentices receive a letter by mail with a code (coupon) which entitles them to a 40% discount. This annual travelcard is only intended issued to for apprentices employed in the canton of Ticino.
The travelcard for apprentices is generally issued for 2nd class. If required, it is also available for 1st class. In this case the relevant price difference is charged to the apprentice.
